SUMMARY:Brief Overview of Our Charity Work in Wumba Community
DESCRIPTION:As an active charity organization in Nigeria\, we recently had
the opportunity to visit  Wumba community in Abuja Municipal Area Council
 \, FCT\, Nigeria.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWumba people are a small\, remote indigeno
us group positioned as a sprawling suburb around the Lokogoma District of
Abuja. Despite their isolation\, the Wumba people have a rich culture and
deep connection to the land\, which is said to be founded by Tukura Minawe
over 100 years ago. Their name "Wumba"\, according to locals is derived f
rom the community's deity known as Wumbape.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThey face many c
hallenges\, including limited access to healthcare and education\, bad roa
ds\, lack of potable water\, and consistent power outages.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nD
uring our recent visit\, which was an easter period\, we were able to prov
ide food supplies for over 80 Wumba children and over 150 widows.\n\n&nbsp
\;\n\nIn addition\, our 9 volunteer team members were present and worked t
o raise awareness about the Wumba community and their culture\, in hopes o
f inspiring others to support and take action to protect the community thr
ough government interventions.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWe are proud of the progress
that has been made in the Wumba community\, which has an appreciable numbe
r of Muslims\, Christians\, and Traditionalists living in harmony despite
the near lack of government presence and basic living support.  We are gr
ateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these rema
rkable people because\, to them\, Easter was a memorable day to be loved a
nd cared for seeing they always feel out of place and forgotten. Our chari
ty work in other communities is ongoing and multifaceted\, and we are comm
itted to continuing our support for the underserved and less privileged pe
ople and helping them to improve their lives and preserve their cultures f
or future generations.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWe invite you to join us in our missi
on to effectively support the less privileged with food\, access to basic
 healthcare services\, and educational support
